INSTALLATION
How to Install
Simply swap in the motor wheel, attach the pedal sensor, secure the power pack on the handlebar mount and connect up the wires. Please note that this video shows the original MAX battery.

Does the MAX+ Kit work better in colder temperatures?
You will be fine to use your Swytch bike on the occasional Winter day but we recommend not to frequently ride it in below -5 degrees Celsius. Our Quality Control Testing did include performance tests at low temperatures. However, all lithium-ion batteries are impacted by temperature. You may have experienced this phenomenon if you’ve left a mobile phone or laptop in a car at night and found it totally drained the next morning. This is due to a chemical reaction caused by the cold resulting in faster discharge and/or a corresponding loss of battery life.
Extremities in weather conditions may affect the Power Pack. The kit should not be charged if it is below 0 degrees Celsius and we recommend you do not store the Power Pack below -10 degrees C.
Can I upgrade my GO Kit to a MAX+ Kit?
Yes, since both kits use the same motor wheel, you can purchase a MAX+ Upgrade Kit. The Upgrade Kit includes the MAX+ Power Pack, mount, and charging adapter, so you can keep your existing motor wheel and pedal sensor.
Can I upgrade from the AIR/MAX Kit?
Yes, the MAX+ Power Pack Kits use the same mounts and firmware as the AIR/MAX Kits, so you can easily upgrade by ordering an additional MAX+ Power Pack from our accessories store.
Can I change the brightness of the be-seen front light?
Yes, the multifunctional button on top of the Power Pack allows you to adjust the brightness level, whether you’re riding on a dimly lit country road or through the city. There’s a setting to suit any environment.
Can I turn the be-seen front light on/off?
Yes, the front be-seen light on the MAX+ can be easily and quickly turned off using a button on top of the Power Pack.
What motor wheel options are available for MAX+?
We currently offer 16″, 20″, 26″, 28″/700C/29er in stock to buy now.
Please note – our 349 and 406 wheels are narrow wheel options built for 8mm dropouts.
If you require a 349 or 406 for a 9/10mm dropout, or if your wheel size ais not listed above please get in touch with our customer service team to discuss how we may be able to support your requirements.
Please note that we currently only offer front wheel options.
What is included in the box when I purchase the Swytch Kit?
When you purchase the Swytch Kit, you receive everything you need to convert your bike to electric. This includes the wheel, power pack, pedal sensor (PAS – Pedal Assist System), charger, plug and all necessary cables.
How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
Depending on the selected power pack capacity and the charger used, the charging time can vary from 2.5 hours to 5 hours.
