At Swytch, we pride ourselves on the quality of our award-winning kits. They are made to order in the UK and comply with all EAPC and EN standards and UK safety regulations, including a legal UK speed limit of 15mph.

Which bikes are not compatible with Swytch?

Any bikes with thru-axles – our front motor wheel cannot be installed on bikes with thru-axles. Our rims have a standard internal width of 20mm and an external width of 24mm. Swytch wheels can take any width of tyres from 1.1-2.5 inches (28-64mm), so they won’t fit with Fat Tyres or very narrow road tyres. If you have hub, roller or coaster brakes, you may be able to change to disc brakes or rim brakes to use the Swytch kit. Also, our folding kit does not support disc brakes. Some carbon road bikes have wider bottom brackets that do not allow space for our pedal sensor to be fitted, and therefore they are not compatible. The same goes for some mountain bikes that have suspension chainstays. The pedal sensor and magnet disk need approximately 40mm space between the sensor mounting point and the crank arm.

Our MAX+ Kit features rear wheel and thru-axle options and will be available to partner stores in 2025.

What are your payment terms?

We offer standard 30 day invoice payment terms.

Does the Swytch AIR Kit work better in cold temperatures?

You will be fine to use your Swytch bike on the occasional Winter day but we recommend not to frequently ride it in below -5 degrees C. Our Quality Control Testing did include performance tests at low temperatures. However, all lithium-ion batteries are impacted by temperature. You may have experienced this phenomenon if you’ve left a mobile phone or laptop in a car at night and found it totally drained the next morning. This is due to a chemical reaction caused by the cold resulting in faster discharge and/or a corresponding loss of battery life.
Extremities in weather conditions may affect the Power Pack. The kit should not be charged if it is below 0 degrees C and we recommend you do not store the Power Pack below -10 degrees C.
